How many ports per switch? How many 10G ports per switch? Do switches need to be installed? 1. This should be indicated in the floorplan diagrams in documents section of our E-Rate website. It varies per location. Port density could be larger in one location compared to another. (See additional notes below)2. A. All Backbones in campus LAN are 2x10gbs = 20Gbs (minimum), except where noted on floorplan diagrams. WAN fibre backbone from campuses to JHS MDF as installed, will be minimum of 10gbs. (See additional notes below)B. If stacking switches into a single chassis configuration for port density.. All backplanes/stacking connections should be 40gbs minimum. 3. This is a turn key installation as per RFP and 470 posting. (See additional notes below)Notes:1. See posting about proposal breakout for E-Rate and Non-E-Rate Allowed.

Additional questions: 1. Do you need AC or DC power at all locations? 2. Do you need redundant power supplies at any location? 3. Do you need a network management software too? Is it eligible under E-Rate funding? 4. Your currently have 52 switches – 37 x 48-port switches and 15 x 24-port switches. Do you want the same switch count for this E-Rate project?

We need AC Power. There is ONLY 240V at the JHS MDF. All other areas are 110vv. 2. Only power supplies for powering all ports with POE for AP's, etc. 3. Yes we do need some kind of Network management software, training, license, etc. Some of it is E-Rate eligible. Please look on USAC's website. 4. Switches can be any number up to 55. Also, Most switches can be "Density Switches" to allow for more physical switches if needed. We just need to make sure we have our Drops/location covered.
